TEXA AM30 diagnostic cable – serial diagnostics of TOHATSU outboard motors | TEXA
TEXA AM30 is a complete cable for serial diagnostics of Tohatsu outboard motors, designed for units equipped with the KOKUSANDENKI controller. The cable enables stable diagnostic communication with the ECU and the implementation of service procedures in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines.
The cable has two working connectors (male and female) and an activation button, which is used – when required by the software – to start the engine components during testing.

Important: The cable is not compatible with the socket used in the MFS 15E, MFS 20E and MFS 9.9E engines.
MFS 15E / 20E / 9.9E Engine Diagnostics
To perform diagnostics on the above models:

use the AM37 terminal cable,

The AM37 must be connected to the female (orange-black) connector of the AM30 cable, which acts as the base cable in this configuration.
In this configuration, the position of the button on the AM30 does not affect the diagnostic process.
Additional compatibility
The AM30 cable can also be used in selected outboard motors:

provided that the motor is equipped with a KOKUSAN controller and the socket used is compatible with the female connector of the AM30 cable.
Diagnostic features
In combination with the TEXA interface and the IDC6 MARINE software, the AM30 cable enables:

reading and clearing fault codes,

preview of real parameters (Live Data),

tests of actuators,

activation of engine components (using a button – if required by the software),

identification of controllers and systems,

implementation of the service procedures available for a given model.
The range of functions depends on the specific engine and operation in the TEXA system.
Power supply – important information
NOTE:
To run the diagnostic interface and perform diagnostics:

Connect the power cords (alligator blades) to the engine/vehicle battery,

In the case of motors without their own battery – connect the crocodile motors to an external battery.
