TEXA AM01 CAN Diagnostic Cable – MARINE CAN Main Adapter
TEXA AM01 CAN is a specialized CAN base diagnostic cable designed for the MARINE environment, to which dedicated TEXA terminal cables are connected. It supports extended diagnostic functions and the CAN protocol, which are not supported by the standard TEXA AM01 cable.
This is a key component of the TEXA system for the diagnosis of modern marine engines using the CAN bus.
Identification features
The AM01 CAN cable can be clearly identified by:
-
RED cap with LED,
-
dedicated manufacturer’s label,
-
the presence of two functional connectors:
-
2-pin female – possibility of connecting an external power supply,
-
4-pin male (4-way male) – communication connector for terminal cables.
-
Purpose of AM01 CAN Cable
The TEXA AM01 CAN cable is used for:
-
work as a CAN base cable in the TEXA MARINE diagnostic system,
-
operation of functions and systems requiring CAN communication,
-
cooperation with dedicated terminal cables of motor manufacturers.
Note: Do not confuse the AM01 CAN (RED cap) cable with the standard AM01 (BLACK cap) – despite their similar appearance, they support different protocols and functions.
How to use (example)
Configuration: AM01 CAN + Terminal Cable (e.g. AM25)
-
Connect the appropriate terminal wire for the motor brand to be diagnosed (e.g. AM25) to the AM01 CAN 4-pin male cable connector .
-
If the TEXA software requires it, connect the power cords (crocodiles) to the 2-pin female connector.
-
Connect the power cords to the engine/vehicle battery to power the diagnostic interface.
Always follow the instructions in the TEXA diagnostic software.
Diagnostic features
In combination with the right terminal cable, TEXA interface and IDC6 MARINE software, the AM01 CAN cable enables:
-
reading and clearing fault codes,
-
preview of real parameters (Live Data),
-
tests of actuators,
-
identification of controllers and systems,
-
implementation of service procedures requiring CAN communication,
-
external interface power supply (if required).
