TEXA AM14 Diagnostic Cable 1 – Volvo / Mercruser MEFI
TEXA AM14 is a terminal cable designed for diagnostics of marine engines equipped with a MEFI (Marine Electronic Fuel Injection) controller and a 10-pin diagnostic socket. This socket is used in engines with MEFI control units of series 1, 2, 3 and 4.
The AM14 cable does not work alone and must be used in conjunction with the TEXA AM01 base cable.

Volvo Penta – important information:
In the case of Volvo Penta, the AM14 cable enables diagnostics of injection systems for gasoline engines manufactured between 2000 and May 2005.
Intended use
The TEXA AM14 cable is used for:

electronic diagnostics of marine engines with MEFI ECUs (1–4),
-
communication with the control unit via a 10-pin diagnostic socket,
-
work as a dedicated terminal cable in the TEXA MARINE system.
Note: The AM14 cable requires a connection to the TEXA AM01 base cable.
Diagnostic features
In combination with the AM01 base cable, the TEXA interface and the IDC6 MARINE software, the AM14 cable enables:

reading and clearing fault codes,

preview of real parameters (Live Data),

tests of actuators,
-
identification of controllers and systems,
-
implementation of service procedures available for MEFI controllers.
The range of functions depends on the driver version (MEFI 1–4) and the support of a given engine in the TEXA software.
Power supply – important information
External power supply required
To run the diagnostic interface and perform diagnostics:

the AM01 cable must be connected to the engine/vehicle battery using power cables (crocodile clips),

If there is no battery – use an external power source.
