TEXA AP01 Diagnostic Cable – Basic Connection Cable
The TEXA AP01 is a basic diagnostic cable, designed to connect the TEXA diagnostic tester to the diagnostic socket of the vehicle. It is the basic element of the TEXA diagnostic system and is required to work with most cables and diagnostic adapters in the BIKE environment.
The product was developed by TEXA as a universal solution for everyday workshop work.
Supported brands
The AP01 cable supports in particular:

Italian brands (m.in. Ducati, Aprilia, Moto Guzzi – depending on the configuration),
-
Peugeot,
-
Polaris,
-
Sherco,
-
Gas-Gas,
and other vehicles using compatible diagnostic connectors.
The scope of service depends on the vehicle model and the TEXA software license held.
Base Cable Function
AP01 acts as the main cable that:
-
allows the physical connection of the tester to the vehicle,
-
is required to connect most TEXA diagnostic adapters, such as AP11, AP15, AP20 and others,
-
ensures proper communication with the vehicle’s ECU.
In many vehicles, the diagnostic socket does not supply power to the diagnostic interface – in such cases, the AP01 allows it to be supplied from an external source.
Powered by the vehicle’s battery
In configurations where the diagnostic connector does not provide voltage, the following is required:
-
connecting the power cable with alligator clips to the vehicle battery clamps,
-
12 V voltage supply to the diagnostic tester via AP01 cable.
This solution ensures stable communication and safe operating conditions of the diagnostic system.
Diagnostic capabilities
In combination with the TEXA interface and the IDC6 BIKE software, the AP01 cable enables:

reading and clearing fault codes,

preview of real parameters (Live Data),

tests of actuators,
-
reset service inspections,

identification of vehicle controllers and systems,

implementation of service procedures.
The range of functions depends on the adapter used and the specific vehicle.
