TEXA AM26 Diagnostic Cable – Volvo Penta EGC (Round 8-pin)
TEXA AM26 is a terminal cable designed for diagnostics of Volvo Penta engines equipped with the EGC (Electronic Gas Control) control system and a round 8-pin diagnostic socket. This type of socket is found in gasoline engines produced between May 2005 and May 2007.
The cable is dedicated to work in the MARINE environment and enables stable diagnostic communication in accordance with OEM procedures.
Intended use
The TEXA AM26 cable is used for:

electronic diagnostics of Volvo Penta engines with EGC system,

communication with the ECU through a round 8-pin diagnostic socket,
-
work as a dedicated terminal cable in the TEXA MARINE system.
Important installation information

The cable has 2 wire ends (sleeves).

The method of connection to the socket (pin selection) is indicated directly in the TEXA diagnostic software in the appropriate procedure – follow the instructions displayed on the screen carefully.
Power supply – mandatory
NOTE:
To run the diagnostic interface and perform diagnostics:

Connect the power cords (alligator blades) to the engine/vehicle battery,
-
In the case of units without their own battery – use an external battery.
Without external power, the diagnostics will not run.

In combination with the TEXA interface and the IDC6 MARINE software, the AM26 cable enables:
