NEW! SP6-AWD – Advanced Dynamometer Controller
The SP-6 dyno controller provides a complete hardware and software solution for controlling engine test beds and roller dynoes.
The system uses Safety Oriented Closed Loop Brake Control and can operate even without a computer connected – control is possible from the remote control.
Available operating modes:
-
Inertial
-
Steady Load
-
Ramp (Ramp)
-
Fixed Brake
Additional modes, such as Road Simulation, are available in the PC software.
Application
The SP6 is the perfect tool for:
-
engine performance tests,
-
ECU calibration,
-
endurance tests,
-
exhaust emission tests,
-
advanced research and development (R&D) work.
SP6-AWD – AWD version
The new version of the SP6-AWD enables electronic synchronization of the front and rear axles, making it an ideal solution for AWD (4×4) dyno.
The controller can also support:
-
2-HUB dynos
-
4-HUB dynos
where:
-
each roller channel is controlled by a separate brake (left and right in the AWD version),
-
in the HUB-4 version, four independent channels are used.
Features and capabilities
-
High-speed Ethernet connection
-
Control and monitoring of the test engine and brake
-
Remote control of dyno systems from PC, m.in.:
-
throttle actuator,
-
clutch cylinder,
-
gear shifting,
-
Fans / Blowers
-
-
Dual channels for rollers and load cells and brake outputs
– support for AWD dyno
– full synchronization of reels
The AWD option requires additional components, such as:
-
second brake power supply,
-
second force sensor (load cell),
-
second Hall sensor,
-
AWD firmware.
Differences between SP6 and SP5
-
SP6 is mainly designed for HUB-4 dyno and AWD dyno with double rollers (4 Hall sensors)
– possibility of operating up to 4 force sensors (2 as standard)
– 4 roller speed inputs -
8 analog inputs in SP6 instead of 6 in SP5
– use of a dedicated ADC with higher accuracy
– higher measurement precision than in sensors built into the MCU -
2 × CANBUS in SP6 vs 1 × CANBUS in SP5
– easier data acquisition from different CAN buses operating at different speeds
– the main CANBUS operates at a speed of 250 kbaud -
Industrial Enclosure
– facilitates installation, especially in electrical cabinets
