TEXA AM22 Diagnostic Cable – Suzuki (4-pin)

TEXA AM22 is a terminal cable for serial diagnostics of Suzuki Marine engines equipped with a 4-pin (4-way) diagnostic socket. The cable enables diagnostic communication with the engine control unit in accordance with the manufacturer’s procedures, in the MARINE environment.

Note: The AM22 cable does not work alone and must be used in conjunction with the TEXA AM01 base cable.

Intended use

The TEXA AM22 cable is used for:

electronic diagnostics of SUZUKI MARINE engines with a 4-pin socket,
communication with the engine ECU in serial mode,
work as a dedicated terminal cable in the TEXA MARINE system.

Important Compatibility Information

NOTE – different types of SUZUKI diagnostic sockets
Some SUZUKI MARINE engines are equipped with an 8-pin diagnostic socket, which is not compatible with the AM22 cable.

In this case, the following should be applied:

TEXA AM10 terminal cable
Cable end (sleeve) No. 7

Only such a configuration enables proper diagnostic communication.

Diagnostic features

In combination with the AM01 base cable, the TEXA interface and the IDC6 MARINE software, the AM22 cable enables:

reading and clearing fault codes,
preview of real parameters (Live Data),
identification of controllers and systems,
monitoring engine operation,
implementation of service procedures available for Suzuki Marine engines.

The range of functions depends on the specific engine model and its operation in TEXA software.

Power supply – important information

External power supply required
To run the diagnostic interface and perform diagnostics:

the AM01 cable must be connected to the engine/vehicle battery using power cables (crocodile clips),
If there is no battery – use an external power source.
