TEXA AP20 diagnostic cable – Honda (2004 onwards)
The TEXA AP20 is a dedicated diagnostic cable designed to connect the TEXA diagnostic tester to the diagnostic socket of Honda motorcycles manufactured since 2004. It provides stable and secure communication with the motorcycle’s control units, enabling professional diagnostics of the electronics.
The product is part of the TEXA diagnostic system and is designed to work in the BIKE environment with IDC6 software.
Intended use
The AP20 cable is used for motorcycle diagnostics:
-
Honda – models produced since 2004.
It is used in professional Honda services and multi-brand workshops.
Connection requirements
On many Honda models, the diagnostic socket does not supply power to the diagnostic interface.
In such cases, the AP20 cable should be used in conjunction with the AP01 base cable, which allows:
-
correct connection to the TEXA interface,
-
12 V power supply from the vehicle’s battery (using a power cable with alligator clips).
Diagnostic capabilities
In combination with the TEXA interface, the AP01 cable (if required) and the IDC6 BIKE software, the AP20 cable allows:
-
reading and clearing fault codes,
-
preview of real parameters (Live Data),
-
tests of actuators,
-
reset service inspections,
-
adaptations and basic settings,
-
identification of drivers and software versions.
The range of functions depends on the model and year of the motorcycle.
