Motor speed sensor (clip) for Innovate systems
The Inductive Clamp is a non-contact motor speed sensor (clip), designed to work with Innovate meters and controllers, such as: LMA-2, LMA-3, DL-32, LM-2. It allows you to measure the engine speed signal without physically cutting the wires or installing special magnetic sensors.
What is it used for?
The Inductive Clamp sensor is used to:
-
contactless reading of the RPM signal from a high-voltage cable (e.g. ignition) or from the switching wire of the CDI/ECU module,
-
providing engine speed data to:
-
Innovate LM-2 / LMA-2 / LMA-3,
-
DL-32 (data logger),
-
other devices with RPM input in the Innovate system.
-
Key Benefits
-
No interference with the installation – no need to cut, solder or modify the ignition wires; A clamp around the ignition or signal wire is enough.
-
Quick assembly and disassembly – ideal for testing, tuning and diagnostics.
-
Universal compatibility with many Innovate devices.
-
High sensitivity and stability – accurate speed reading under variable engine operating conditions.
Application
-
RPM measurement when tuning ECU/AFR on the road or dyno.
-
Integration with LM-2 / LMA-2 / LMA-3 for AFR connection to rotation.
-
Recording of turnover in DL-32 and subsequent analysis in the software.
-
Engine diagnostics in tuning projects and motorsport competitions.
How does it work?
Inductive Clamp works like a typical inductive clamp:
-
You put it on a high-voltage or signal cable (e.g. a wire from an ignition coil, VR sensor, ECU).
-
The sensor captures electromagnetic pulses associated with current switching.
-
Sends an RPM signal to the connected Innovate device.
Compatibility
-
Innovate devices:
-
LM-2, LMA-2, LMA-3, DL-32
-
other modules with RPM input
-
-
Engines: petrol and diesel with ignition signal or impulse ECU signal
-
Installation: without interfering with the motor installation
