TEXA AM09 Diagnostic Cable – Volvo Penta EDC
TEXA AM09 is a terminal cable designed for diagnostics of Volvo Penta engines equipped with an EDC 1 control unit and a 2-pin diagnostic socket. This type of controller and connector are most commonly found in the KAD and TAM series diesel engines.
The AM09 cable does not work alone and must be used in conjunction with the TEXA AM01 base cable.
Intended use
The TEXA AM09 cable is used for:

electronic diagnostics of Volvo Penta engines with ECU EDC 1,
-
communication with the control unit via a 2-pin diagnostic connector,
-
work as a dedicated terminal cable in the TEXA MARINE diagnostic system.
Note: The AM09 cable requires connection to the TEXA AM01 base cable.

Diagnostic features
In combination with the AM01 base cable, the TEXA interface and the IDC6 MARINE software, the AM09 cable enables:

access to the diagnostic functions provided for the ECU EDC 1.
The range of functions depends on the specific engine model and operation in the TEXA software.
Power supply – important information
External power supply required
To run the diagnostic interface and perform diagnostics:

the AM01 cable must be connected to the engine/vehicle battery using power cables (crocodile clips),

If there is no battery – use an external power source.
